The Perth Mint pays tribute to Timothy Dalton with the release of a special silver proof coin. The coin, struck from 1oz of 99.99% pure silver, is part of a numbered series of 5,000 pieces, and is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
The coin’s reverse depicts a black and white image of Timothy Dalton in a classic James Bond pose, along with the iconic 007 logo and logos of his two official Bond films – The Living Daylights (1987) and Licence To Kill (1989). The obverse bears the Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2023 year-date, weight, purity and monetary denomination. Each coin is presented in a 007 branded case within a themed shipper and accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
The Perth Mint is Australia’s official bullion mint and is wholly owned by the Government of Western Australia. The mint manufactures and distributes platinum, silver and gold coins for collectors and customers worldwide.
