James Bond fan and collector, Chris Distin, has worked with Grammy Award winning James Bond composer David Arnold to design a custom 007 themed Duesenberg Guitar which Arnold will play during The Sound of 007 in Concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 4 October, 2022.
The guitar, a Duesenberg Paloma model, features the iconic James Bond gun barrel logo across the body, representing 60 Years of James Bond (1962-2022), and the original 007 logo on the headstock, paying tribute to Joseph Caroff, who designed the iconic logo for EON Productions in 1962.
The 007 guitar has a solid alder body, maple neck and nickel plated hardware and three pickup layout featuring a GrandVintage Humbucker and two matched Duesenberg Singlecoils – Pearlito and AlnicoBlade. The four pickup combinations are accessible through a new 4-Way rotary switch, and is topped off by the acclaimed Diamond Deluxe Tremola, Pearloid Diamond fretboard inlays and a beautifully shaped body contour.
Duesenberg Guitars have created two 007 Guitars, of which, one will go to EON Productions, while the other will be played by David Arnold during the The Sound of 007 in Concert.
Following the concert, the guitar will be signed by Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli, David Arnold and the concert artists, and will be auctioned off at Christie’s with proceeds benefiting Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy and The BRIT Trust.
