In a new interview with Total Film, Ralph Fiennes has expressed his interest in returning as M in Bond 26.
“If anyone from EON Films is listening, I’m very keen to continue training the new James Bond. I love playing M, and I love being part of that franchise. But who knows? Things have to change. But I love working with Daniel Craig. He’s a terrific Bond. I will treasure that experience.”
Fiennes join the Bond franchise in 2012’s Skyfall as Lieutenant Colonel Gareth Mallory, Chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee. Following the untimely death of the outgoing Head of Mi6, played by Dame Judi Dench since 1995’s GoldenEye, Mallory assumes the role of M, and has since gone on to appear in SPECTRE (2015) and the upcoming No Time To Die, due for release in October 2021.
Ralph Fiennes can currently be seen in the new Netflix film The Dig.
