The title song for the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die by Billie Eilish was released today, Friday, 14 February, 2020 at 11:00 AM (AEST).

The song is written and performed by Billie Eilish, produced by her brother FINNEAS alongside Stephen Lipson, with orchestral arrangements by Hans Zimmer and Matt Dunkley and guitar from Johnny Marr.

Billie and FINNEAS have written an incredibly powerful and moving song for No Time To Die, which has been impeccably crafted to work within the emotional story of the film,” said Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, the producers of No Time To Die.

There are a chosen few who record a Bond theme. I am a huge fan of Billie and FINNEAS. Their creative integrity and talent are second to none and I cannot wait for audiences to hear what they’ve brought – a fresh new perspective whose vocals will echo for generations to come,” said director Cary Fukunaga.

Billie Eilish said, “It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way. To be able to score the theme song to a film that is part of such a legendary series is a huge honour. James Bond is the coolest film franchise ever to exist. I’m still in shock“.

FINNEAS adds. “Writing the theme song for a Bond film is something we’ve been dreaming about doing our entire lives. There is no more iconic pairing of music and cinema than the likes of ‘Goldfinger’ and ‘Live And Let Die’. We feel so so lucky to play a small role in such a legendary franchise, long live 007.

The official James Bond 007 social media accounts simultaneously released a 45-second preview of the title song that includes some new shots from the pre-titles sequence of Bond and Dr. Madeleine Swann in Italy.

Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
I should have known
I’d leave alone
Just goes to show
That the blood you bleed
Is just the blood you owe
We were a pair
But I saw you there
Too much to bear
You were my life, but life is far away from fair
Was I stupid to love you?
Was I reckless to help?
Was it obvious to everybody else?

[Chorus]
That I’d fallen for a lie
You were never on my side
Fool me once, fool me twice
Are you death or paradise?
Now you’ll never see me cry
There’s just no time to die

[Verse 2]
I let it burn
You’re no longer my concern
Faces from my past return
Another lesson yet to learn

[Chorus]
That I’d fallen for a lie
You were never on my side
Fool me once, fool me twice
Are you death or paradise?
Now you’ll never see me cry
There’s just no time to die

[Refrain]
No time to die
No time to die

[Outro]
Fool me once, fool me twice
Are you death or paradise?
Now you’ll never see me cry
There’s just no time to die
