To promote the release of the first trailer for No Time To Die (2020), Rami Malek appeared on ITV’s Lorraine where he sat down with entertainment reporter Ross King.
In the lengthy interview, snippets of which also aired on Good Morning Britain, Malek discusses developing his character, Safin, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and his now infamous kiss with co-star Daniel Craig, after working out a particularly difficult scene with the actor and director Cary Fukunaga.
Speaking about his role, Malek gives insight into his approach to playing the charater, and how his villain may or may not be judged against those that came before him. Malek also dismisses rumours that his character, Safin, is a reworking of the first cinematic Bond villain, Dr. Julius No from Dr. No (1962).
‘No Time To Die’ will be released by Universal Pictures in Australia on 8 April, 2020.
